During World War II, German ships are "safely" docked upriver at Bordeaux, but the British send a team of kayakers to attack them.
The true story of the Cockelshell Heroes (Operation Frankton) is far more heroic than this film depicts. For one, as in this story, most of them didn't survive. From Wikipedia: "Only two of the 10 men who launched from the submarine survived the raid: Hasler, and his number two in the kayak, Bill Sparks. Of the other eight, six were executed by the Germans and two died from hypothermia." For another, there were issues of there being an issue with military pensions after all of this.MOD (DVD-R) All movies are transferred directly to DVD-R disc on a demand basis from master copies of these releases.
